我很高兴见到你 (Who are you) 2月车间: 约阿希姆 and director/choreographer Chanel 达席尔瓦 led a second workshop surrounding 约阿希姆’s album 我很高兴见到你. Over the course of this workshop, 约阿希姆, 达席尔瓦, and the ensemble experimented with staging and rehearsed initial drafts of the score together. The workshop culminated in an internal showing of the work-in-process.

娜塔莉约阿希姆 (MAP ’96; Pre-College ’01; BM ’05, flute) is a Grammy-nominated flutist, composer and vocalist. The Brooklyn-born Haitian-American artist was a co-founder of the critically acclaimed urban art pop duo Flutronix and navigates everything from classical to indie-rock, all while advocating for social change and cultural awareness. A 2020 United States Artist Fellow and 2019-20 Kaufman 音乐 Center artist in residence, 约阿希姆 has performed and recorded with artists and ensembles including Bryce Dessner, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, 理查德·里德·帕里, 米格尔Zenon, and the International Contemporary Ensemble, and is the former flutist of the contemporary chamber ensemble 第八个黑鸟. 作为一名作曲家, 约阿希姆 has been commissioned to write for instrumental and vocal artists, 跳舞, and interdisciplinary theater. Her first solo album, Fanm d 'Ayiti, is an evening-length work for flute, 的声音, string quartet and electronics that celebrates some of Haiti’s most iconic yet under-recognized female artists and explores her heritage. Released in 2019 on New Amsterdam Records, it received a best world music album 格莱美奖提名.
